One of the most memorable features of Gaunts House is the peace and beauty of the surrounding land. It has extensive private grounds and gardens with a lovely 4 acre lake just below the house

triangulation with the sacred sites of Glastonbury, Avebury and Stonehenge. It is 84 feet in diameter with seven rings of six foot widths beyond which is a ring of 24 trees.

A particularly large fallen oak has been sculpted and carved to create an idyllic seating area which captures the imagination of all. Known as Merlin's Seat, it is a place for quiet reflection in the middle of nature.
